 Artiste autodidacte, née le 2 août 1979 à Rocourt (Belgique)

Inspirée la plupart du temps par l'univers de la Mode, de la Danse et de ses attitudes stéréotypées, j'ajoute à mes compositions ce qui reflète ou a reflété un certain sentiment que je vis ou ai vécu par la passé. En mixant ces sujets, j'invite des artistes qui m'inspirent tels que Gaudi, Mondrian, Andy Warhol ou encore  les Beatles à se mêler à la création d'une oeuvre dans laquelle je pourrais retrouver la 'Vintage Girl' que je suis depuis longtemps. Mes oeuvres sont composées d' un soupçon d'élégance, de glamour et de surréalisme, le tout saupoudré de ma patte bien trempée dans le mouvement qui caractérise mon tempérament droit et loyal.

 Mes inspirations

La danse: Grande fan de Boogie– Woogie et de Swing depuis maintenant 6 ans, j’aime tout ce qui a trait à la danse en général.

Peintres et couturiers: Gaudi, Andy Warhol, Dali , Mondrian, Lichtenstein, Gruau, Yves St-Laurent, Chanel, Fred Astaire, Gene kelly etc. ( tout ce qui se rapporte de près ou de loin à la mode des années 30, 40, 50, 60 et 70)

Musique: Swing, Jazz, Rock n’ Roll, Disco, Pop, Electro Pop, Dance , avec un énorme coup de cœur pour les Beatles, George Michael, Madonna et Serge Gainsbourg, opéra italien.

Cinéma et séries: Absolutely Fabulous, Sex and the City, Ally Mc Beal, les comédies musicales années 30 à aujourd’hui avec entre autres Un Américain à Paris, Chantons sous la pluie, Surs les Ailes de la danse, Chicago, Cabaret, Moulin Rouge, Les mémoires d’une Geisha, De grandes espérances, Le diable s’habille en Prada, Tous les films de Tim Burton et Pedro Almodovar et bien d’autres encore trop nombreux à mentionner!

Lecture: les biographies de personnages illustres de la mode, les vieilles et actuelles revues de mode (what else?)

La beauté de certaines femmes: Pénélope Cruz, Audrey Hepburn, Twiggy, Marilyn Monroe, Jean Seberg et parfois entourages proches...

Démarches artistiques d'hier et d'aujourd'hui

Pure autodidacte, j'ai recommencé la peinture après 5 années d'absence alors que j'étais souffrante en 2008. Pendant ma convalescence, j'ai appris à me réconcilier avec la matière et le plaisir de créer à nouveau. Au départ, sans grande conviction, je me suis simplement mise à étendre la matière, à jouer avec ses aspects et au fur et à mesure, mes sujets sont apparus les uns après les autres:

Self-made artist, born on 2nd August 1979 in Rocourt (Belgium)

I'm mostly inspired by fashion, dancing and its stereotyped poses. I usually add in my works all that reflects or has reflected what I feel or felt at that particular moment. When I'm mixing all these topics to the several colours of my short existence, I'm inviting artists who inspire me the most, such as Gaudi, Mondrian, Andy Warhol or the Swing music, the Beatles or even Twiggy, to be part of the creation of a work of art in which I'll be able to find out the foolish breeze of the Vintage Girl that I am. My entire work is a mixture of elegance, surrealism in my rough sketches which characterizes my sturdy and loyal temper.

My inspirations

Dance: I've been dancing Boogie– Woogie for 6 years now, I also love salsa which wakes the high liver that I am.

Painters and fashion designers: Gaudi, Andy Warhol, Dali, Mondrian, Lichtenstein, Gruau, Yves St-Laurent, Chanel, Fred Astaire, Gene kelly etc (All that is linked to fashion from the 20's to the 70's).

Music: Swing, Jazz, Rock n’ Roll, Disco, Pop, Electro Pop, Dance with an enormous preference for the Beatles, George Michael and Serge Gainsbourg.

Cinema and soap: Absolutely Fabulous, Sex and the City, Ally Mc Beal, Musicals of the 30's till now such as An American in Paris, Singing in the rain, Swing time, Chicago, Cavaret, Moulin Rouge, Memoirs of a Geisha, Great expectations. Devil wears Prada, Tim Burton and Pedro Almodovar's fims and many others, too many to be mentioned.

Artistic steps

I'm a pure self –made artist, I began to paint again after five years break. I was ill at that time in 2008 . During my home convalescence, I learned to be reconciled with texture and the pleasure of creating again. In the beginning, without great conviction, I simply stretched texture, played with its aspects and step by step, my topics appeared to me one by one:
